Terms of Service

PrepRail is software for independent meal-prep kitchens: a weekly menu, client picks, automatic payment at a cutoff, and generated prep, shopping, and delivery lists. Each kitchen on PrepRail is its own independent business. The kitchen — not PrepRail — makes your food, sets its prices, fulfills orders, and handles refunds.

PrepRail is free for kitchens: no subscription and no selling fee, with standard Stripe payment processing applying to card payments. Clients pay the kitchen’s menu prices plus any delivery fee or tax the kitchen sets, and a 4% service fee on the food subtotal shown at checkout — that fee is how PrepRail is paid.

When you save a card and confirm picks for a week, your card is charged automatically when picks close, for exactly the amount shown on your confirmation. Skipped weeks are never charged. If a charge fails, we retry per the schedule shown in your emails; the kitchen decides how unpaid orders are handled.

One login works across every kitchen you order from. You are responsible for keeping your password private. You must be 18 or older to run a kitchen on PrepRail, and clients must be lawfully able to use the payment card they save. Kitchens are responsible for the accuracy of their menus, prices, and food safety compliance in their jurisdiction.

Kitchens own their menus, photos, names, and branding. By putting them on PrepRail, a kitchen grants us permission to host and display that content only as needed to run its storefront, emails, and lists. We claim no other rights to it.

Refunds are issued by the kitchen under its own policy — talk to your kitchen first. When a kitchen refunds an order, PrepRail returns its service fee in the same proportion.

Don’t abuse the platform: no unlawful activity, no attempts to access other kitchens’ or clients’ data, no interference with the service. We can suspend accounts that break these rules.

PrepRail is provided as-is. We work to keep it reliable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for the food, fulfillment, or conduct of independent kitchens. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees PrepRail earned from the transactions involved.

Kitchens and clients can stop using PrepRail at any time. We may update these terms; material changes will be dated at the top of this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Questions about these terms: legal@preprail.com.
